Having spent the past 20 years as a leadership educator, scholar, speaker, author and coach, I am excited to curate and facilitate courses outside of the university setting for women, emerging leaders, c-suite executives, and faith leaders, whether serving in faith-based or secular organizations, whether in the non-profit, public or business environment.
In addition to serving as the Chief Leadership Coach at Global Leadership Development, LLC, I am an adjunct professor of leadership in a couple of doctoral programs in US institutions, and provide dissertation coaching services. My passion is to educate and enable leaders to become more effective, ethical and authentic.
Resume
I am a woman called to minister to the needs of women who have experienced a variety of traumatic life events such as death, divorce, disease, and other status-altering critical incidents. Being a thriver myself, I have gone through divorce, multiple deaths, chronic illness, failed adoption, and a host of other life-altering happenings. Through these experiences, I have learned to cultivate resilience and become an overcomer. I am a hope-peddler, firmly believing that as long as you are still on this side of eternity, God is not done with you yet.
I began my career in a preparatory school in Nairobi, then moved on to a church where I provided leadership to a team that established a Christian school. Afterwards, I made my way to the United States where I pursued a Masters in Organization Development and a Doctorate in Leadership Studies. Following my studies, I spent the next 16 years working in universities. I trained and practiced as a teacher in Kenya, before adding graduate degrees in theological studies, organization development and leadership in the United States.
In my calling to minister to women who have faced traumatic life events like death, divorce, disease, and other life-altering incidents, I empathize deeply as a thriver who has personally endured divorce, multiple deaths, chronic illness, failed adoption, and various other challenging circumstances. These experiences have taught me to foster resilience and overcome adversity. I proudly embrace my role as a hope-peddler, firmly convinced that as long as we dwell on this side of eternity, God's work in our lives is far from complete.
